Star Liversedge striker Joe Walton has been cleared by the FA of all charges relating to the rumpus in the tunnel following his side’s 2-1 defeat at Hemsworth Miners Welfare back in November.
Walton was involved in a tete-a-tete with the match officials outside their dressing room, seconds after he has been shown a red card after the final whistle. Super ‘Sedge had just beaten in the last minute by Sidney Santos’ goal.
He served a three-match ban for the red card, but faced a lengthier suspension over the exchanges in the tunnel. ‘Sedge fought the charges and won the argument.
