Glasshoughton Welfare have brought back one of their key heroes from the team which surprised many by reaching the Toolstation NCEL Division One play-offs in 2018.
Rob Oldham has returned to Glasshoughton from fellow Division One side Worsbrough Bridge.
Oldham signed for Welfare in October 2017 and was arguably the final piece of the jigsaw as Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars’ troops on an amazing run to finish in the top six – coinciding with his arrival.
The joint managers, who are in pole position to win the manager(s) of the year award, will hope he has a similar effect as they aim to maintain their promotion push.
Glasshoughton visit North Ferriby tomorrow.
Welfare have had a host of injuries recently with goalkeeper Mat Zaniewski, Josh Vamplew and stalwart captain Adam Walsh all side-lined.
