Youngster Liam Owen and striker Calum Ward got the goals as Nostell Miners Welfare ended their five-match winless with a 2-0 home win over Harrogate Railway.
Owen, the former Ossett Town starlet, broke the deadlock in the first half of the only Toolstation NCEL Division One clash in ‘Town’.
Railway’s chances had earlier been weakened by the dismissal of Aidan Kearsley for a second bookable offence.
Amir Berchil was a real thorn in Railway’s side, but it was Ward who doubled the lead on the hour mark to ensure Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton’s men moved into the top half.
In the Premier Division, thanks to Khurram Shazard’s double, Silsden pulled off a shock 3-1 at leaders Staveley Miners Welfare.
Laurence Surhaindo was also on the scoresheet.
