Returning talisman Steve Bromley instantly breathed new life into Harrogate Railway’s battle to avoid finishing in the bottom two by scoring the opener in the massive 3-1 victory over Ollerton Town.
Railway are now seven points adrift of third bottom Worsbrough Bridge with 14 Toolstation NCEL Division One games to play.
The victory was Mick O’Connell’s first since he replaced Des Macorison.
Bromley, making his first Railway appearance since his return from Knaresborough Town, gave his side a first half lead from the penalty spot.
Paddy Sykes added the second deep into the second half and a Steve Walker penalty would seal it. Ollerton, whose captain Sam Foulds was sent off, grabbed a late consolation through Aaron Sennett-Neilson.
