Attacker Billy Lumsden has committed to Nostell Miners Welfare who have begun revealing their squad.
New manager Ian Walker is preparing for his first campaign in charge in the Toolstation NCEL after taking over from Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton in May. Walker has been the club’s U19s and U21/23s boss for the past three years.
Lumsden previously played for Garforth Town, Goole AFC and Ossett Town U21s.
Left-back Jamie Allsop is hoping to put several years of injury problems behind him as he has joined Walker’s new beginning at Crofton Community Centre.
Highly-rated young winger Amir Berchill is back, along with Nathan Hawkhead. They belonged to Walker’s youth teams and have appeared for the first team during Dodsworth and Houghton’s fine tenure. Berchill was a hit last season in the NCEL and he had a good run in the side.
Two goalkeepers have joined in the young Chris Carter and very experienced Lee Kelsey, the former Pontefract Collieries stopper.
The other two players are 16-year-old Sam Jenkinson and full-back Brandan Miller, another of Walker’s U23s.
