Ashley Vickers is the new Pontefract Collieries assistant manager, while former Frickley Athletic manager Spencer Fearn has joined as head of recruitment and scouting.
The pair will work under new Collieries manager Andy Monkhouse who succeeded the club’s greatest boss Craig Parry a few months ago.
Vickers was previously the manager of Huddersfield Town Women, but he is a successful academy coach as well having coached at Barnsley.
Fearn is of course well known to many. He was successful as owner of East Stirling and as majority shareholder of Stockport County. Since turning his hand to management, he led Maltby Main to their highest finish in years and he almost guided Frickley Athletic to promotion in 2017 after building a superb side. Away from Non League he has coached at Sheffield Wednesday’s academy.
