Two more follow Walshaw to Buxton

New Buxton goalkeeper Tom Taylor

Scarborough Athletic manager Darren Kelly lost Chris Dawson and goalkeeper Tom Taylor to Buxton, in addition to James Walshaw.

Star striker Walshaw’s exit to Scarborough’s NPL Premier Division rivals on Tuesday. Now Taylor and midfielder Dawson have turned up at Silverlands.

Former Farsley Celtic and Brighouse Town stopper Taylor never committed to another season with the Seadogs and he has been analysing offers for the past few months.

Dawson and Walshaw’s departure to Buxton is a frustration to Kelly as the pair had pledged their futures to Scarborough. So news of their exits was a huge shock.

  1. Buxton must have had a rummage down the back of the sofa… some relatively expensive signings there. All W Yorks based from what I gather so will presumably travel down together. Is John Deacey going there? Is he what is attracting these players? From memory its quite a cold spot – up at the top of a hill overlooking the town, with a high main stand.
