Sam Cable and Dom Claxton have both added power to the ranks at Pontefract Collieries.
Young defender Claxton is a former member of Barnsley’s shadow scholarship squad.
Razor-sharp Cable is the most familiar of the two because of his spells with Frickley Athletic and Selby Town.
Cable, who has the ability to carve up defences with his electric pace, actually previously played for the club’s under 19s a few years ago.
The two signings follow on from the capture of left-back Jordan Barnett earlier in the week.
Barnett, who scored an outrageous long range goal against Rossington Main on Saturday, was recently released by Barnsley.
Prior to joining the Reds, he was at Burnley who in turn had signed him from Penistone Church.
