Clubs face extensive midweek travelling in the FA Cup

Glasshoughton’s Adam Walsh will finally get an FA Cup rematch with Knaresborough, six years on from his infamous raging bull episode

Several Toolstation Northern Counties East League clubs face mammoth midweek away trips in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.

The ties are due to be played on Tuesday 1st September and are expected to be played behind closed doors if approval for spectators is still not granted.

With changing rooms and rules on car-sharing still unclear, the ties will be the first taste of Non League Football during the new normal.

The winners receive £1,125, while the losers will get £375.

Campion’s home tie with local rivals Albion Sports and Silsden’s visit to Eccleshill United are the most travel friendly fixture. Knaresborough Town’s trip to Glasshoughton Welfare is relatively close too.

Pickering Town, Goole, Yorkshire Amateur, Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Hall Road Rangers face trips to the North East, while Penistone Church, Thackley and Liversedge are off into the depths of the North West.
