Young Jack Cawthorn has been added to Andy Monkhouse’s Pontefract Collieries squad.
The Barnsley-born centre-half was previously a member of York City’s youth team.
Cawthorn, who played in Ponte’s 1-0 win over AFC Mansfield on Saturday, fits Monkhouse’s ideal player profile of young and hungry players.
The new Colls boss has some great talent vying for his centre-half positions as he also has Dom Claxton and Callum Walmsley – the on-loan defender from Barnsley.
