Jamie Austin hit the jackpot twice as Handsworth staged a second half comeback to beat nine man North Gawber at Olivers’ Mount.

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior Premier Division outfit, who also had two men sin-binned, stunned their higher league hosts after breaking the deadlock in the first minute.

The tenth minute had not even been hit when a bad back-pass allowed Gawber to score again.

Handsworth failed to put their mark on the first half and it wasn’t until the hour where they livened up.

A few minutes after they had a penalty saved, Leon Howarth struck from close range.

Austin soon equalised for Russ Eagle’s Handsworth when his corner flew straight in.

Gawber, who had several players booked in the first half, lost their goalkeeper to a second yellow card and then from the penalty spot Kyle Jordan rocketed Handsworth ahead.

Austin sealed Handsworth’s win in the final minute.

Maltby Main enjoyed an epic 3-3 draw with Retford United. The see-saw encounter saw Maltby lead twice and only denied the win because of a late goal. Luke Fletcher, Steven Hopewell and Jonathan Hill hit the target for Maltby.

Matthew Morton, Sam Fewkes and Mitchell Kent were Swallownest’s goal-scorers in the 3-1 win at Wickersley.

Armthorpe Welfare cruised to their 6-1 demolition of Houghton Main. Chris Bilton, Josh Dodd, Sean Dickinson, Lee McFadden, Adam Lee and Paul Sherburn fired Armthorpe to their win.

Kieran Watson (2) and Rhys Davies made sure Hallam came away from Clay Cross Town with a 3-2 victory.

Tadcaster Albion saw off local neighbours Selby Town after coming from behind in the 5-3 success.

Bailey Thompson, Derrick Ngwana, Omar Sanyang (2) and Ify Ofoegbu scored for Paul Quinn’s Tad.
