Young and up-coming midfielder Sam Barker is back at Garforth Town.
The youngster was arguably Garforth’s player of the year last season and his performances had earned him a move to Gainsborough Trinity in the NPL Premier Division.
Unfortunately it did not work out and he has returned to play for Paul Marshall’s Garforth.
Garforth, who kick off their competitive season with the FA Cup tie against Whitley Bay on Tuesday, have also confirmed that two further players from last season have returned.
Jack McGahan and Dan Davison both joined the Miners in February and they now have a proper chance to make their mark. Left-back McGahan arrived from Albion Sports and midfielder Davison joined from Pickering Town.
