Converted centre-half Tom Clare has signed for Pontefract Collieries after a successful trial.
Clare, originally a striker and from Barnsley, spent his youth years at Oakwell and then Bradford City.
In March 2019, he joined Craig Elliott’s Boston United on loan and subsequently signed permanently for them in the summer of that year.
It did not work out and Boston and last season was also spent with Frickley Athletic and Bradford (Park Avenue).
The 21-year-old is the latest young player to sign for Ponte who are trying to attract young and hungry lads who want to learn and progress in the game.
