Vill Powell has signed a two-year contract extension at Brighouse Town.
The new deal takes him to the summer of 2023. Powell took charge of Brighouse in 2017, replacing the long-serving Paul Quinn who had guided the club into the Northern Premier League.
His first season was a year of rebuilding and then the second should have ended in promotion as they won the 2019 NPL Division One East play-offs. However, because of the FA’s bizarre rules on promotion that year because of restructuring, Brighouse were denied the chance to go up.
Powell said: “I’m delighted to extend my stay at Brighouse as it’s a place I feel at home and as a club, has so much untapped potential. Hopefully, I can help realise that potential and bring more success and progress on and off the field and give Brighouse a football club to be proud of.”
