Attacking midfielder Joe Thornton has signed for Garforth Town ahead of the scheduled FA Vase tie at home to Sunderland West End tomorrow.
Thornton had originally signed for local neighbours Yorkshire Amateur in pre-season.
Thornton, the cousin of former Garforth great Ben and the son of Gary, the former Batley Bulldogs Rugby League star, also played for Albion Sports last season.
Prior to that, Thornton played for Brighouse Town as well as Northern Fury in Australia.
The other new signing is Joe Smith, a 20-year old centre-back who’s previously played at Tadcaster Magnets, Dunnington and Copmanthorpe.
