Logan gets four as Bridlington hit six

Billy Logan’s first half hat-trick ensured Bridlington Town responded to a midweek defeat by winning 6-2 at Handsworth.

The game had began disastrously for Brid who fell behind to Leon Howarth’s opener. But Brid responded and Logan completed a 15 minute hat-trick by the half-hour mark. Joe McFadyen added the fourth before half-time.

Howarth got his second after the break for Handsworth before Brid missed a penalty. But Danny Earl and Logan made up for it by scoring Brid’s fifth and sixth goals.

Liversedge cruised to a 4-0 victory at Eccleshill United, with three of the goals coming in the first half. Ollie Fearon, Kevy Tarangadzo (2) and Adam Porritt got the goals. 

Yorkshire Amateur won against 2-0 against brave Athersley Rec who were reduced to ten men in the first half after dissent towards the referee.

Ash Flynn’s ninth minute penalty and Stephen Smith’s late goal secured the points for the Ammers.

Silsden picked up their first league win of the season after coming from behind twice to beat Goole AFC 3-2 at home.

Khurram Shazad and then Antony Brown cancelled out first half goals from Goole’s Anees Younis and Josh Schofield.

The winner came late on when substitute Leon Hurles-Brook’s cross was turned into his own net by Josh Dacre.
