Northern Premier League Round-Up
Lewis Whitham was the hero as Stocksbridge Park Steels came out on top in the 4-3 topsy-turvy victory at Lincoln United.
The second win in a week was certainly epic as the Steels were pegged back twice before Whitham settled matters in the 85th minute – within 60 seconds after Lincoln had equalised for a third time.
Matt Reay’s early header was cancelled out by half-time, but Joe Lumsden gave the Steels a two-goal lead which was ultimately surrendered.
Whitham though made himself the Steels hero with a deflected long range strike.
Frickley Athletic lost 3-0 at home to Carlton Town.
There was no luck for the three teams in action in Division One North West. Ossett United were beaten by a solitary goal by Colne.
Pickering Town also lost 1-0 to Dunston, while Pontefract Collieries succumbed to a 3-0 loss at Ramsbottom United.
