NPL Division One North West Round-Up
On loan Scunthorpe United striker Harry Jessop enjoyed a dream debut as his late goal fired Pickering Town to their first win of the campaign.
His striker ensured Pickering beat Ossett United 2-1 at Marsh Lane. That goal was supplied by Jason Barnes whose 25th minute goal had given Pickering the lead.
Ossett had a catalogue of chances throughout the encounter and they equalised through George Green on the hour after firing home from the rebound from Nash Connolly’s shot.
Ossett were pressing for the winner until Jessop pounced.
Pontefract Collieries were denied their first league win under Andy Monkhouse in heart-breaking fashion as Marske United scored in the 95th minute to rescue a 1-1 draw.
Albert Ibrahimi’s late penalty had looked like it had secured the points for Ponte.
Junayd Pandor’s second half equaliser earned Tadcaster Albion a 1-1 draw at Dunston.
