Toolstation NCEL Division One Round-Up
Young Ben Donoghue was the hero as he scored the equaliser as Worsbrough Bridge staged a late fight-back to draw 2-2 at East Hull in Luke Forgione’s first game in charge.
The point gained is their first of the new campaign.
Forgione, the former Bridge midfielder who was appointed last Wednesday, was staring down the barrel of a defeat as revitalised Hull led 2-0 after 74 minutes thanks to goals from Ali Aydemir and George Harrison.
Fortunately for Worsbrough, the journey home was not a long and winding road as it could be argued that the game ended triumphantly and could act as a springboard to further positive results.
In-form striker Sam Agar pounced on a set-piece and Donoghue completed the fightback in the last minute.
Rossington Main led twice in the epic 3-3 draw at Emley who claimed a point after Sam Pashley’s smashed home a 65th minute equaliser.
Jack Watson struck the first blow for Rossington in the first half before that was quickly cancelled out by Aiden Savory.
In-form Dom Riordan hit a wonderful volley to place Emley in front, but Jason Stokes’ header levelled it on the stroke of half-time.
Stokes placed Rossington ahead again in the second half before Pashley earned Emley a share of the spoils.
Hall Road Rangers impressively won 2-0 at Retford FC – Chris Murray and Richard Medcalf scored.
Adam Lee got Armthorpe Welfare’s goal in the 3-1 home defeat to Brigg Town.
