The North West Counties League clubs were given until 12.00 BST on Wednesday to respond to a vote on whether to suspend the season.
The League is besieged with problems because of the Tier 3 lockdown system placed on Merseyside and they have proactively acted to find solutions.
Most of the rest of clubs are affected by the Tier 2 rules. In Division One South there is also the Isle of Man who are very unlikely to kick a ball anytime soon.
The League only started on October 3rd, but because of local lockdowns, bad weather, positive tests, a substantial number of games have already been postponed.
The 60 clubs have been asked to vote on three choices:
- Suspend the club with immediate effect until the end of October when the situation will be reviewed.
- Suspend matches for sides in Tier 3 areas
- Continue with the league season and manage individual issues as is currently the case.
