Garforth Town captain Jack Lazenby has left the East Leeds club to join Andy Monkhouse’s Pontefract Collieries.
The move enables Lazenby to return to the Northern Premier League, the level he previously played at with Brighouse Town.
Ironically his Pontefract debut could be against Brighouse on Saturday.
Lazenby has been a star performer for Garforth during their positive start to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
He scored twice, the winner against Silsden and in the 5-1 smashing of Sunderland West End in the FA Vase.
Garforth’s first game without him is the home clash with Thackley on Saturday.
