Staveley Miners Welfare striker Joe Pugh has signed for Knaresborough Town.
Pugh joins ahead of Knaresborough’s Toolstation NCEL Premier Division at promotion-chasing Yorkshire Amateur.
Pugh, the son of the ex-Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United player and former Leeds United academy chief Daral who is now head of academy coaching at Sheffield Wednesday, was in and out of Staveley’s starting line-up last season, but did chip in with a few goals.
Prior to playing for Staveley, Pugh played for the likes of Tadcaster Albion, North Ferriby, Hyde United, Frickley Athletic and Boston United after coming through the Doncaster youth system.
Knaresborough have had an inconsistent start to the season and are hoping to arrest a run of three straight defeats when they head to the Ammers.
