Experienced Staveley Miners Welfare midfielder Sam Finlaw has joined Stocksbridge Park Steels.
His arrival at Bracken Moor has helped ease Stocksbridge’s injury problems which see Joe Lumsden and Lewis Whitham on the treatment table.
The move reunites him with ex-team-mates Michael Trench, Ross Goodwin and Stuart Ludlam.
Finlaw is in line to make his Stocksbridge debut at Chasetown on Saturday.
Chris Hilton has needed to bolster his squad for a week or more following injuries to key players.
Losing Lumsden and Whitham were major blows and their absences reflect in the last two results. Young Guiseley striker Tom Whiting was on the substitutes’ bench for the defeat to Leek Town on Saturday.
