Striker Nathan Keightley was revealed as Pickering Town’s new signing shortly before Boris Johnson’s announcement of the new lockdown measures.
Keightley was unveiled following Pickering’s FA Trophy defeat to Runcorn Linnets.
He could make his debut when the Pikes are to due to host Pontefract Collieries on Tuesday. But after that he’ll probably have to wait a while for a run of games as the NPL campaign is expected to pause because of the lockdown measures.
Keightley will hope the move allow him to settle down after spells with Ossett United, Goole AFC and Bridlington Town since the summer.
If he can re-capture the form he showed during three years with Penistone Church and before that, a season with Glasshoughton Welfare, Pickering have a player with huge potential on their hands.
