Goole AFC have signed a striker who has one of the top marksmen in the West Yorkshire League over the past six years.
Scott Hargreaves scored 106 goals in just 101 league appearances for Carlton Athletic during their years of dominance under new Goole joint manager Mark Pitts.
Carlton won the West Yorkshire League Premier Division three years running and he was one of several key players during that run of success.
Hargreaves is no stranger to the Northern Counties East League as he played for Emley during the early part of the long Darren Hepworth era.
His signing takes it to three from the legendary Carlton side to make the step-up to Goole in the past week. Scott Burns and midfielder Andy Payne are the other two.
Another player from Carlton, Anees Younis, who hit 107 goals in the past three seasons for the West Yorkshire League outfit, joined Goole in the summer.
Hargreaves is in to play for Goole at Grimsby Borough on Wednesday – the final night before the season enters a pause unless there is a late reprieve.
