Rhys Meynell has been reunited with Lee Morris after being announced as his assistant at Armthorpe Welfare.
Morris initially played with Meynell at Shaw Lane Aquaforce during the 2015/16 season.
Ex-Gusieley and Harrogate Town centre-back Meynell then played under Morris at Goole AFC, Frickley Athletic and Worsbrough Bridge.
In the past three years Meynell has played for Nostell Miners Welfare until leaving after the exits of Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton.
Morris told Armthorpe’s website: “Rhys has been a friend of mine for a long time. We played together at Shaw Lane before I moved on to manage Goole where Rhys was my first signing and the same again at Frickley. He is a leader on the pitch and off it so he will bring a wealth of experience to Armthorpe and I’m looking forward to teaming up with him again.”
Meynell will work alongside Morris and player/coaches Steven Garner and Adam Lee, the Armthorpe stalwart players who are now on the coaching staff.
