Yorkshire Amateur defender Ross Killock has signed for fellow Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side AFC Mansfield.
Ex-Leeds United youngster Killock joined the Ammers in the summer and was a regular in the side during the first six weeks of the campaign.
Killock has played for the likes of Chester FC, FC Halifax Town, Alfreton Town and Stalybridge Celtic during his Non League career.
Killock made his first appearance for Mansfield in Saturdays behind closed doors friendly against Clipstone.
He is now in line to make his competitive debut on Saturday when Mansfield host Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
“I wish him all the best,” Ammers joint manager Craig Ogilvie told Non League Yorkshire.
“Killer’s a great player and he’s got a great attitude. He’ll be an asset for Mansfield.
“It hasn’t been a bad split. It has all been very amicable. Mansfield were good in how they approached it. He had a chat with them and he decided to go.”
Asked if it is a big loss, he said: “I think anyone is a big loss for us because we don’t have a big squad.
“There’s this myth that we have a load of players and a load of money, that’s not the case. Killer leaving us takes us down to 16 or 17 players.
“We’ll probably look to go and strengthen now and look to get another defender in.”
