Liversedge’s FA Vase journey goes on after a penalty shootout victory at Sunderland Ryhope CW put them into the last 32.

The victory creates new history for ‘Sedge who have never gone beyond the third round in the Vase.
The shootout rounded off a tense afternoon which could have gone either way.
‘Sedge defended brilliantly throughout and had two penalty shouts turned down in normal time.
Liversedge were actually 2-0 down in the shootout but Sunderland missed their last three kicks, allowing the visitors to triumph.
The Toolstation NCEL are now hoping North Ferriby can follow ‘Sedge into the last 32 when they eventually play their third round match.
Ferriby are due to host Seaham towards the end of December.
