Kieran Suddards hit two as Albion Sports spoiled Staveley Miners Welfare’s first competitive game on the state of the art 3G after pouncing late to win 3-1.
Suddards and Danny Facey were the Albion heroes in the impressive victory which lifts them to tenth and is another feather in the cap for joint managers Ishy Hussain and Pav Singh who have done a remarkable job so far.
Suddards fired Albion ahead in the first half and the visitors were in charge until Staveley’s Myron Gibbons equalised with nine minutes to go.
But Albion responded and Suddards and the perennial hero Facey won it for them.
Danny Earl’s hat-trick was the centre-piece of Bridlington Town’s amazing 9-1 demotion of Handsworth.
Brett Agnew predicted a high-scoring game but certainly not so much in favour of his side who certainly had their shooting boots on.
Billy Logan netted in the first and last minute bizarrely and Earl, Thomas Waudby (2), Agnew and Will Annan emphatically fired Brid up to third.
