Yorkshire Amateur have recruited experienced former Bournemouth, Worksop Town and Bradford (Park Avenue) goalkeeper Jon Stewart.
It is the Ammers’ first major signing since learning that they are set to be in the Northern Premier League next season for the first time in the club’s history.
Stewart is perhaps best known to Non League Yorkshire readers for being Craig Elliott’s goalkeeper at Shaw Lane AFC during the 2016/17 season.
Stewart was a key part of the team which won the NPL Division One South title and the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
The stopper has since played for Boston under Elliott and for Gainsborough Trinity and Matlock Town.
