Nostell Miners Welfare’s rising star Amir Berchill is the latest player to be snapped up by Yorkshire Amateur.
Berchill’s arrival at Bracken Edge follows the captures of Jon Stewart and Simon Ainge.
Attacker Berchill is one of the many fine prospects current Welfare chief Ian Walker has coached and managed at various levels at Nostell and he probably won’t be the last to go onto bigger things.
He has been hot property for some time and was always attract attention because of his ability and displays during the doomed 2020/21 season.
Ammers joint manager Craig Ogilvie said: “It was inevitable someone of his age and quality was going to be looked at by a host of clubs but we’re really pleased Amir has decided to join us at Yorkshire Amateur.
“He’s an extremely talented player who ticks a lot of boxes for us and I’m really looking forward to integrating him into the squad for next season. He’s the perfect type of player for this club and one who hopefully will be with us for a very long time.”
