Young star striker Leon Howarth is staying with Handsworth after the club exercised the year’s option on his contract.
Howarth signed for the Ambers in 2018/19 season from Frecheville and was top of their scoring charts in last season’s curtailed campaign with eight goals in ten appearances.
Overall he has scored 30 times in 39 starts for the club.
Russ Eagle told Handsworth’s website: “To get Leon done and dusted early was important to me and of course the cub as a whole.
“He’s a young man whose made massive strides and is a big player for us.
“He’s been at the ground today with Spow (Aiden Spowage) doing some extra training in readiness for the start of pre season in June.
“We’re really looking forward to the season and getting back out on the training field. we cant wait to get back going.”
