Coach David Brown has left Scarborough Athletic following the appointment of Jonathan Greening as their new manager.
The former Bradford City and Scarborough striker served previous manager Darren Kelly for almost a year, but now departs as Greening wants to install his own backroom team.
Brown told Scarborough’s website: “I spoke to Jono and he told me that he will be bringing in his own staff, I completely understand that, it is just football.
“There are no hard feelings, the same happened when Daz (Darren Kelly) took over at the club, he brought me in.
“I am a bit disappointed because I had an enjoyable spell at the club and I think there are some very exciting times ahead.
I’ve gone from arranging friendlies and talking to players, to being out of a football club in just a few days. That is what happens in this game though.
“I hope Jono goes on and wins promotion, and it will be great for the supporters to get back into the ground and watch that – they deserve it.
“I’ve had a couple of offers from clubs about playing and there is no secret that wherever Daz goes I tend to end up.
“We’ll have to see what happens though, I’ve got a bit of time to make my decisions.”
