Versatile defender Matty Plummer has joined North Ferriby from Barton Town.
He is the first brand new signing of the summer at Ferriby and certainly bolsters their defence ahead of a third attempt to get out of Division One of the NCEL.
Plummer played in the Football League for Darlington in 2009 after coming through the youth system at Hull City where he was very close to making a first team appearance.
After leaving Darlington, he has played for a variety of Non League clubs including FC Halifax Town, Garforth Town, AFC Mansfield, Scarborough Athletic and Barton, among others.
Plummer spent three years with Barton.
He won’t have to wait long to visit Barton again as Ferriby will head there for a pre-season friendly in early July.
