Ollie Fearon scored an overhead kick against his old side Penistone Church to help Liversedge win 4-0 and lift the Yorkshire Trophy.

John Cyrus headed ‘Sedge in front after just five minutes from a free kick.

“Sedge doubled their lead 60 seconds into the second half through Gavin Allott before Fearon enjoyed his moment of brilliance in the 73rd minute.

An own goal from Luke McGinnell in the last minute rounded off the game.

Golcar United finished third after winning 4-3 on penalties after a pulsating 3-3 draw with Brighouse Town.

Brighouse old boys Greg Porter and Jacob Buchanan gave Golcar a first half lead which was halved during first half stoppage time thanks to Harrison Beeden’s goal for Brighouse.

An own goal from Kyro Lawrence brought the scores level and Jack Boyle’s strike appeared to win it for Brighouse.

However, striker Buddy Cox came up with the goods for Golcar in the last ten minutes to send the tie to penalties.
