Former first team players Scott Briggs and John Whitehead have taken charge of Penistone Church reserves.
They replace club stalwart Stephen Lenthall, the keeper of several roles, who has stood down from the reserves due to a heavy and increasing workload.
Both Briggs and former Emley defender Whitehead have had long associations with Penistone and they were part of the club’s early years in the NCEL in 2014.
Briggs actually came through the junior set-up at Penistone.
The pair have a tough act to follow as Lenthall has established the reserves as a very strong Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Premier Division club.
