Club captain Liam McFadyen is going to be back playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels next season.
Long-serving McFadyen took a sabbatical last year and missed Stocksbridge’s games in the aborted 2020/21 campaign.
He did play twice for Athersley Rec during the brief restart in December as part of a loan arrangement.
McFadyen has been an integral part of the Stocksbridge side since joining them in the summer of 2014.
Prior to moving to Bracken Moor, McFadyen played for his life-long mentor the Steels boss Chris Hilton at Worsbrough Bridge.
He is the first player confirmed to be in the Steels squad for next season.
