Selby make mouthwatering signing

New Selby Town striker Nathan Keightley

Prolific former Penistone Church hit-man Nathan Keightley has joined Selby Town.

Keightley is arguably the biggest signing Selby has made so far this summer – if he can get back to his best under Christian Fox’s guidance.

Keightley has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Non League Football since breaking through as a young teen at Glasshoughton Welfare.

He was then hugely influential in Penistone Church’s fight to win promotion to the Northern Premier League two years ago.

The aborted 2020/21 season was a blot on the landscape with less than fruitful spells with Goole AFC, Bridlington Town and Pickering Town after initially signing for Ossett United in the summer.

Also joining Selby is former Armthorpe Welfare defender or midfielder Sisquo Blake.

Forward Sam O’Malley, who joined just before the 2020/21 campaign was chucked into the nearest dustbin, is confirmed to be returning.

So far the new faces to Selby alongside Blake and Keightley are Ollie Maude, Gracjan Klimczak and Tadcaster Albion midfielder Kain Rogerson. Liam Flanagan is technically a new signing.

Retained are Ryan Cooper, Danny Snaith, Jon-Paul Vass, Luke Sellers, Dylan Parkin and Charlie Clamp.
