Armthorpe Welfare have made an early start with their pre-season friendlies schedule.
Armthorpe are the first Toolstation Northern Counties East League to get back playing and they kicked off their pre-season campaign with the 1-1 draw at Bessacar on Monday night.
Harry Brown’s early goal was quickly cancelled out in the stalemate.
Brown was on the score-sheet again in Thursday night’s impressive 3-0 defeat of North West Counties new-boys Campion.
Brown struck on the half-hour mark and powerful defender Owen Fieldsend doubled the lead soon after.
Matty Hughes, who played for Hemsworth Miners Welfare last season, added the third with ten minutes to go.
