Harrogate Railway have brought back one of the heroes from the squad which secured the club’s highest ever finish.
Wing wizard Rob Youhill has returned after several years away from Station View.
The former Harrogate Town has played for Tadcaster Albion and local rivals Knaresborough Town since last playing for Railway in 2016.
His biggest contribution to Railway was during the 2014/15 season when he was a major part of Billy Miller’s team which nearly reached the NPL Division One North play-offs.
Youhill could be an enigma at times, but on his day he was unplayable that season and he provided loads of goals for Nathan Cartman, Steve Bromley and Malachi Farquharson.
The move ‘home’ has been on the cards for a while as he played in friendlies in April for the club and it reunites him with close associates Dan Thirkell and Mike Morris in particular as the defender has been like a mentor to him over the years.
Mick O’Connell’s side’s first friendly is scheduled to be on the 10th July – the derby with Knaresborough at Station View.
