Ex-Selby man joins Humber

New FC Humber United striker Louis Blackwell once scored a 12 minute hat-trick for Selby Town

Ex-Selby Town striker Louis Blackwell has signed for FC Humber United.

More recent Selby fans may not recognise the name as has been a while since Blackwell wore the Robins jersey.

Blackwell is a throwback from the Ian Dring and Jimmy Reid eras at Selby in the early 2010s.

He perhaps best remembered for his stunning 12 minute hat-trick in the memorable Toolstation NCEL Division One victory over huge title favourites Shaw Lane Aquaforce in December 2013.

Former Doncaster Rovers and Swansea City forward Jason Price was his strike-partner that day.

In more recent years he has been playing local football for Riccall United.

Humber’s other latest signing is young left-winger Jamie Baxter.
