Forward Adam Baskerville and highly-rated former Sheffield FC winger James Gregory have signed for Craig Denton’s Hallam.
Baskerville arrives from Armthorpe Welfare with a decent pedigree from a solid few years in the NCEL.
He scored 11 times in appearances for Armthorpe during the curtailed 2020/21 season and 19 in 20 games in the 2019/20 campaign.
But you could argue that the capture of Gregory is the most eye-catching signing of the two.
Gregory has been sought-after for years by many Northern Premier League clubs, never mind NCEL teams, but he always stayed loyal to Sheffield until late 2019.
He joins the Sandygate club from Worksop Town so Hallam have a player who has dropped down two divisions on their hands.
Come back tomorrow (Wednesday) to read Craig Denton’s latest interview with Non League Yorkshire.
