Former Parkgate and Maltby Main defender Jon Wragg has taken over as manager of Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915.
Wragg, who was the club’s assistant manager, replaces Matt Griffin who stepped down after three years in charge.
Wragg will be assisted by his twin brother Matt and club stalwart Ryan MacDonald.
Wragg is well known across the South Yorkshire Non League community having played several hundred games in the Northern Counties East League.
He also played for Hallam as well as Steve Toyne at Dinnington Town during the unforgettable 2007/08 Division One title-winning campaign.
As well he is well known for being a former team-mate of Jamie Vardy from their Stocksbridge Park Steels reserves days.
He inherits a squad on the up and in a good state as Griffin has left the club in its strongest on-field position for some time.
The new EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League season starts on the 4th September.
