Jonathan Hill was Maltby’s first goal-scorer

Maltby Main got off to a rampant start in pre-season with the 5-1 hammering of Brigg Town in Lincolnshire.

Jonathan Hill, Connor Cutts, Alex Hardwick, Jamie Austin and a trialist contributed to the heavy win against Brigg who are managed by former Cleethorpes Town boss Marcus Newell – the man who took them to Wembley.

Eli Hey’s double helped Craig Rouse’s Pontefract Collieries beat Rossington Main 3-2 at Beechnut Lane.

Ilkley Town were beaten 4-3 by Eccleshill United. Aaron Davis, James Hudson and Nicc Hewitt struck for North West Counties new-boys Ilkley.

Callum Greaves (2) and Oliver Grady were on target in Swallownest’s victory at Dinnington Town.

Sean Hunter secured a 1-1 draw for Knaresborough Town at Northallerton Town.

Two late condemned Silsden to a 2-1 defeat at home to Prestwich Heys.

Craig Billington had given Danny Forrest’s men an early lead.

Brett Agnew claimed a 1-1 draw for his own team as he scored Bridlington Town’s goal in the stalemate with Barton Town.

Matty Hughes netted the first half winner for Armthorpe Welfare against Shane Kelsey’s Athersley Rec.

Selby Town cantered to a 7-3 battering of their tenants FC Humber United – the rebranded East Hull club.

Gracjan Klimczak introduced himself to his new club with a hat-trick for Selby. 

Harry Clapham got two and Dan Davison and Flynn McNaughton chipped in with a goal each.

Jamie Philips, George Brown and Syzmon Czubika scored for Humber.

Frickley Athletic lost 2-0 at Skegness Town.

There were two friendlies involving Yorkshire sides played on Friday night.

Goole AFC impressively drew 2-2 with Belper Town – Shaun Heselwood and Josh Schofield scored for Mike Carmody’s men.

Layton Swaine and Liam O’Brien were on the score-sheet for Hemsworth Miners Welfare in the 6-2 defeat to a very strong Worksop Town.
