Lively forward Sam Cable has signed for Mike Carmody’s Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Goole AFC, along with Luke Williams.
Cable will be hoping to get back to his razor-sharp best after a two frustrating years where injury has hampered his progress.
Cable hit the top of his game during his spell with Selby Town in 2018 when he was scoring in nearly every game.
However, subsequent moves to Frickley Athletic, Pickering Town and Pontefract Collieries were besieged by injury problems.
Striker Williams joins from Armthorpe where he of course played under former Welfare boss Carmody.
He made over 100 appearances for Armthorpe over several spells in six years – scoring 38.
