Midfielder Adam Hayton has returned to Glasshoughton Welfare after four years away from Leeds Road.
The former Ossett Albion and Wakefield FC man played for Welfare during Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars’ first season in charge – the 2016/17 campaign.
He was an integral part of the team which surprised many by finishing in the top half of Division One of the Toolstation NCEL.
Hayton has since played for Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Nostell Miners Welfare.
Although Mark Ferguson (Campion) and Nathan Perks (Nostell) are the two higher profile exits, Holmes and Vigars have managed to keep most of last season’s squad.
Stalwart captain Adam Walsh is of course coming back for another campaign as he continues to head towards his testimonial year.
Also so far confirmed to be returning are Fidel Mhlolo, Sam Nelson, Jordan Chippendale, Joe Milner, young Matt Cunliffe and tough-tackling midfielder Craig Tonkinson.
