Maltby Main striker Mitch Dunne and former Nostell Miners Welfare wing wizard Billy Mole are among the new signings at Handsworth.
Dunne, who made his name during his stint at Hallam, is a class signing for Russ Eagle’s Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side and he will surely score lots of goals for the Ambers.
Left-sided player Mole has had a sabbatical from the NCEL during the aborted 2020/21 campaign as he played for Hall Green in the West Yorkshire League, but he remains a young talent and he will improve Handsworth’s side.
The move reunites him with life and football mentor Jason Dodsworth – the former Nostell joint boss who is now Handsworth’s assistant manager – who has also helped attract another ex-Nostell man in midfielder Ben Teasdale to the club.
Midfielder Sam Fewkes, the ex-Stocksbridge man, has returned to the Ambers.
Ethan Hobson, goalkeeper Joe Bacon and Nana Yaw Asare Nyarko all step up from the youth ranks, while Connor McMillan, Owen Derrett, Liam Bell and Jack Harrison have also signed forms.
Handsworth have a strong squad as most of the quality players Eagle signed last summer have stayed.
Tom Roebuck, Steve Wankiewicz, Sam Smith, Rikki Paylor, Richard Tootle, Logan Chappell, Leon Howarth, Kyle Jordan, James Oliver, Ben Townsend, Andy Gascoigne, Alfie Eagle and Anthony Mackie are all back for more.
