Seven new clubs enter County Senior League

Spencer Fearn is academy manager of the North of England Football Academy

Spencer Fearn’s North of England Football Academy (NEFA) is one of the new seven clubs who have been accepted into the EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League.

NEFA, the leading education and football scholarship provider, plan to use their County Senior team as a grounding in men’s football for their youngsters.

Former Frickley Athletic manager Fearn will run the side with Ben Nicholson.

NEFA will join the County Senior League in Division Two with the six other new clubs.

Pontefract Collieries Development team, managed by Lee Benton, are the other most familiar name to join the league.

They too have similar aims to NEFA.

The other five clubs are Boynton Sports, Wadsley Athletic, Sheffield City, Mexborough Athletic and Hepworth United Development.

They will all accepted into the league at the AGM on Thursday night.

The new County Senior League season starts on the 4th September.
