Super-sub Mitch Hamilton was Knaresborough Town’s FA Cup hero after scoring the late winner in the 2-1 victory over Northallerton Town.

The moment will have been a bittersweet one for Hamilton who was making his first competitive Non League appearance for nearly two years.

Substitute Hamilton, whose father Mark scored some very important FA Cup goals during his career, had only been on the pitch for a matter of minutes when he struck in the 76th minute.

That was broke a stalemate which had been in place since the early part of the first half.

Calum Ward fired Knaresborough ahead but the goal was quickly cancelled out.
