Penistone Church striker Nathan Keightley

Nathan Keightley is back at Penistone Church for the third time after an unsettled summer.

Keightley first joined Penistone in 2017 and enjoyed two goal-laden seasons with them – culminating in Penistone’s second place finish.

A brief spell with Tadcaster Albion followed – but he was soon on his way ‘home’ to Penistone.

The brief 2020/21 campaign saw him join Ossett United, Goole AFC, Bridlington Town and Pickering Town in the first of two unsettled periods.

The second one has been this summer.

Keightley committed to Selby Town but the move didn’t work for both parties and he returned to Glasshoughton Welfare – the club where he built his initial reputation.

However, he never made an appearance for Darren Holmes and Lee Vigars’ side and he’s now back at Penistone.
